Welcome to Lets-Draw-YT! This is a group for artists who post their work to YouTube. While the primary focus is Let's Draw-style videos, speed paints, tutorials, and other art-related videos are allowed here as well.
"Why was my submission denied?"
Before sending a note asking why your submission was denied, please read the rules. Chances are, you didn't include a YouTube link or direct embed of the video.
This channel is for Let's Draws, Speedpaints, and video tutorials. Finished work is allowed if a link to one of the above is included. Links to your YouTube channel are not valid links. Playlists are valid, as long as all videos contained in the playlist are for the same project.
This is the part that everyone always wants to know first, so it's right here at the top. With the exception of the Channel Trailers folder, which is limited to one post per month, there are no posting limits on this group. This does not mean you are free to spam. I'm leaving it up to you to determine what a reasonable posting amount is. I understand that sometimes when you find a new group, you want to put a bunch of your stuff in it all at once. And that's great! Do that! But if you're posting a bunch of stuff every single day without end, then I might wind up sticking you in the pleb group, which does have limitations. Don't get put in the pleb group.
The Featured Folder
I'm not going to be policing this at all. Post to the Featured folder if you want. Or use the specific gallery folders. It all winds up in the devWatch either way.
All submissions to this group must either have an embedded YouTube video, or a link to the video in the description. To embed your video, which gives you more views since people don't like to click links to go elsewhere, open Stash Writer, and paste your YouTube link into the text field. Your video will automatically embed. After that, you can submit the deviation to your gallery as a literature submission.
Submissions without an embedded or linked video of your artwork will be removed from the gallery.
NEW: Submission moderation has been turned on for all new members. If you want to bypass the moderation queue, there are two ways:
After you make several approved submissions, you will automatically be invited to join the contributor class. Contributors have no mod duties or responsibilities, but have the ability to post without waiting for the queue. You will not be asked to do anything extra. I know it's confusing, but groups are limited in how members are sorted, and there's no way to let you jump the queue and remain a basic member.
You can also apply to join the contributors. To be approved, you must already have submissions in your gallery that contain embedded YouTube videos, or links out to the videos.
You will be removed from the contributor class if you fail to follow the rules.
Members can submit journals to the group, as long as the journals contain relevant information. This will be kind of wishy-washy, and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Rather than being just a place to artdump, this group also aims to help YouTubers get in contact with other YouTubers to gain exposure and create networks. All networks are user-run and operated, and only aggregated here. The group admins have no control over individual networks.
